Access

1. Copy and paste https://webgate.ec.europa.eu/cas in your Internet browser bar in order to connect to EU Login to create a new account.

2. Click on Create an account. There is no need to fill in the "Use your email address" field 

REMARK: The options to sign in with Social Media Applications do not work with SFC2007.

3. Complete the form with your personal details

REMARK: If any of the required fields is incorrectly completed or left blank, an error message is displayed in red, under the concerned field to be corrected.

4. The EU Login sends a confirmation email and a link to enable you to create your password. Click on this link

5. Choose your new password in accordance with the instructions and confirm it.

6. If the password is accepted, you are successfully authenticated.

7. To request access to SFC2007 you will need to send your Liaison the Unique identifier at the Commission (uid). In order to find it, click on the gear at the top right corner to display the menu and select "My Account"

8. Click on the option "My EU Login Account Details"

9. The screen that is displayed will show your Unique identifier at the Commission (uid)

10. In order to create an SFC2007 account you should send your Unique Identifier (uid) to your MS Liaison Officer, along with a request for the nodes, roles and funds you require for SFC2007.

On the EU Login page select the 'Lost your password?' link to reinitialise your password:

The system will ask you to create a new one. An email containing a URL to reactivate your password will be sent automatically to the email address linked to your EU Login account. You don't need to contact the SFC2007 support team.

The acknowledgement of receipt is signed with an electronic certificate guaranteeing the date and time of the signature as well as the integrity of the document. The certificate used to sign this document is held by the European Commission and can be verified by the corresponding public key.

The first step to validate the signature is to install the certificate in the application Adobe Reader. This step is only necessary once on each computer.

1. First download the SFC certificate file signer2007.zip.
2. Decompress the zip file and store the certificate on your local disk.
3. Open Adobe Reader.
4. Open the menu Edit > Preferences.
5. In the left panel select Signatures.
6. In section Verification, Control how and when signatures are verified click More…:

7. Check the option Time at which the signature was created and click OK:

8. In section Identities & Trusted Certificates click More…:

false

9. In the popup window select Trusted Certificates on the left side and click Import:

false

10. Click Browse:

false

11. Select the certificate (signer2007.cer) on your computer and click on the Import button:

12. A popup message '1 issuer certificate(s) imported' will be displayed, click OK. The certificate should appear now as imported:

13. Select the certificate and click Edit Trust:

14. On the Trust tab check the options:

* Use this certificate as a trusted root

* Certified documents

false

15. Click OK to confirm.
16. Close the dialog box and close Acrobat.

The SFC2007 certificate has now been installed. On the cover page of documents sent by the European Commission, this will be reflected as follows:
