Reference period for immediate result indicators

Answer

What is the reference period for immediate result indicators and how should we record multiple labour market results taking place during this period?

The reference period for immediate result indicators is 4 weeks (i.e. 28 days) after the date a participant has exited an operation. If multiple events related to the labour market status occur within the reference period, only the latest event should be reported as a result. In other words, the two common immediate result indicators that capture changes in the labour market situation (EECR01 - engaged in job searching and EECR04  - in employment) are mutually exclusive , and thus participants should be reported only under one of these indicators. For example, if an inactive participant becomes engaged in job-search upon exiting an operation (i.e. EECR01) and 20 days after exit finds a job (i.e. EECR04), they should be recorded only under the result indicator “participants in employment, including self-employment, upon leaving” (EECR04).  Similarly, an inactive participant finding work immediately (i.e. EECR04) but becoming unemployed within 28 days should be recorded under EECR01 only (by definition, an unemployed person is engaged in active job search).
