Does RCR05 refer to enterprises innovating for their own use or does it also include enterprises which are not research oriented but carry out innovation activities for other entities?

According to the indicator fiche, these are in-house research activities and do not cover those research activities contracted to other entities. The idea is to measure companies with a potential for own innovation. This definition is taken from the Community Innovation Survey (explained in the fiche). For research activities undertaken for another entity, result indicator RCR03 may be used.
